How would I know!!??!!

A married woman was talking about the stress in her life thanks to her spouse. She has been married for over 10 years now. Listening to her banter I asked why she is so upset. Did she not select to be in the marriage?

She sad obviously I did. "I loved him!!" He was different then. Things have changed. You lose your independence when you get married; you lose your identity when you have kids. She went on talking about events in her life that prove this theory.

I once again asked her the same question. "Did you not select to be in the marriage?" She got irritated and walked out telling me; "You are not married, you will not understand what I am saying!!"

So true I don't understand this "married people" banter. First they are desperate to get married and once they have they think life has come to an end.

Marriage is man-created; love is part of life. When you create marriage around love you are creating security. You are making something that cannot be; love cannot be legal. You are trying to do the impossible, and in that effort, love dies- no wonder.

You become a husband; your beloved becomes a wife. You are no longer two alive persons, you are two functionaries. The husband has a certain function; the wife has a certain function: they have certain duties to fulfill. Then life has ceased to flow, it is frozen.

Watch a husband and wife. You will always see two persons frozen (like wax statutes from Madam Tussauds), sitting side by side, not knowing what they are doing there, why they are sitting there. Maybe they have nowhere to go now, or maybe they are waiting for the new propulsion to move.

The husband stops listening to what the wife is saying; he has become deaf long ago. The wife never sees what is happening to the husband; she has become blind to him. They take each other absolutely for granted; they have become things. They are no longer persons because persons are always open, persons are always uncertain, persons are always changing. Now they have a fixed role to fulfill. They died the day they got married. Since that day they have not lived.

I'm not saying not to get married, but remember that love is the real thing. And if it dies then marriage is worthless.

So have you not placed yourself in that position? Who is to be blamed??

When you see love between two persons, something is flowing, moving, changing. When there is love between two persons they live in an aura. Their vibrations are reaching to each other. There is no wall between them, they are two and yet not two-they are one always.

So all my married friends who know it all- can you not love each other once again??

Rs 1,17,000/-

It was the Bangalore airport this time!

These new airports are really fancy and also distracting. I usually sit in the lounge and read something or write my diary. However, this time I did neither. I simply decided to do some "window checking."
Till a few years back I always thought whenever I wore a wrist watch I would always be late. However, some how I got myself a Titan some 4 year back. I have been wearing this metallic band since 4 years now.

So I walked into the Shoppers stop outlet. I headed straight to the watch counter. There were these shiny, diamond studded things in display. Some I guess were in competition with the grandfather's clock that you get to see in exhibitions. Now, why would I want to wear that on my wrist??

Guess, the sales person understood that I am not one of his serious buyers. However, my hair colour probably distracted him (can't say attracted na). He was kind enough to let me try out a few fancy pieces and even went to the extent of answering some of my inane questions.

After 5 minutes and 10 watches down, he walked away. I thought he had had enough of my questions!! But I was pleasantly surprised, when he walked back. This time he had a tiny box in his hands. Not that I could see any real diamond jewelry in display. So I ask my self, "Now what is that he has to show me?"

He had a very special smile on his face. He invited me to another counter, got one of those satin cloths and laid the box. He then took a deep breath and went ahead and opened the box.

Behold!!! There was another wrist watch!! :-( Was I slightly disappointed. He understood my disappointment and immendiately asked me to try the watch. By now I was tired. But what was the harm in trying the eleventh watch??? It was a weightless silver polish wrist watch after all.

But it fitted well. Seeing my comfort, the sales man now took a deep breath. I knew something was coming. He said, "Mam, this watch is a special collection. The has .65c diamonds placed in the vertical lines on both the side of the dial. The base of the dial is mother of pearls. The glass covering the dial is the finest cut Swarovski crystal. And all this for just Rs 1,17,000/- only."

I laughed and simply extended my arm for him to take the watch off. I was now afraid to even touch it lest I damage it. I thanked him for letting me try it and moved to leave.

Just before I stepped out of the outlet, the salesma waled up to me and said, "Maybe not today, but I know someday you will buy it and wear it. Till then, have a nice flight back home!!"

Rs 1,17,000/- phew!!

Unwritten

I came across the lyrics of the ong Unwrittwen by Natasha Bedingfield and could not stop myself from copying it on my blog. The song is so perfect..Enjoy!!

UNWRITTEN!!

I am unwritten,
Can't read my mind
I'm undefinedI'm just beginning
The pen's in my hand
Ending unplanned
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words
That you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten, yeah oh oh

I break tradition
Sometimes my tries
Are outside the lines, oh yeah yeah
We've been conditioned
To not make mistakes
But I can't live that way oh, oh
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words
That you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions

Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lipsdrench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book beginsthe rest still unwritten
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words
That you could not findReaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it inNo one else, no one else

The rest is still unwritten.....
The rest is still unwritten ...
